Marlow 27 - 27 Swanage & Wareham.
Saturday January 15.
Two tries in the final 10 minutes gave Marlow a share of the spoils in a pulsating end-to-end match against Swanage & Wareham on Saturday.
The hosts were staring defeat in the face but summoned the will and energy to score two late tries through Chris Ellis and Richard Frost to draw the match.
The high octane game, played on a rain lashed Riverwoods pitch, earned Marlow a bonus point, but they remain in fifth place, one point behind Witney.
The visitors travelled to Marlow in great form having won nine games from 14 this season and were nestled just a point and a place behind their rivals going into the game.
In October Marlow were at their imperious best as they crushed the Swans 13-35 at Bestwall, but their steadily improving opponents were seeking revenge.
Marlow began the game with tempo sweeping the ball through the hands and tries from Ewan Jones and George Jafari, ensured they went in 15-6 at the break.
But they struggled to contain the visitors after half-time as the Swans stole through holes in the porous back line to establish a seemingly invincible 15-27 lead.
But they sat back and Marlow swarmed forward scoring two late tries before Steve Pincott calmly slotted a match saving kick.
