A reception will be hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace on Monday to commemorate the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta.
Guests at the event will include MPs, historians, representatives of non-governmental organisations, and senior figures from the legal profession.
They will have the chance to view a facsimile of Magna Carta, provided by the British Library.
The Queen is patron of the Magna Carta Trust for the 800th anniversary of the sealing of the historic document in June 1215 at Runnymede, near Old Windsor.
Events will be taking place across the Royal Borough to mark the anniversary, including a Thames River Relay from Hurley to Runnymede in June.
