Eleven
students from an Ascot boarding school have been granted scholarships to some of the country’s top independent secondary schools.
Papplewick School’s Aakash Gupta won a King’s Scholarship to Eton College where he will be joined by fellow classmates Atticus Evans-Lombe and Daniel Kim.
Stephen Felce won an Academic Scholarship to Winchester College while Nick Shishkarev and Alessandro Angelucci won places at Harrow School. Nick also received the Deno Leventis Classics Award.
Maxim Mavlyutov will be going to Wellington College armed with an Academic Scholarship, while Anubhap Taechamahaphan won an Art Exhibition at Charterhouse School where he will be joined by Papplewick’s Rob Lee.
Ben Smith-Bannister was awarded a Sports Exhibition at Pangbourne College and Ali Shirazi won a place at The Oratory School.
Headteacher Tom Bunbury said: “We’re extremely proud of our scholars and particularly this year with the quite outstanding academic results the boys have achieved.”
