A Morris dancing side in Windsor will be joined by an array of guests on a home tour in the town this weekend.
Windsor Morris will be joined Hammersmith Morris Men, Pilgrim Morris, Customs & Exiles and Traditional Bampton Morris for its tour of the town on Saturday, June 29.
The side will be in Peascod Street and William Street from 11am to 11.45am on the day.
From noon to 12.45pm, the side will be seen at The Two Brewers on Park Street and in Windsor Royal Station, outside All Bar One from 1.45pm to 2.45pm.
The Morris dancers will be at Windsor and Eton Rotary Club’s Summer Fayre in Alexandra Gardens from 3pm to 3.45pm.
In May, a group from Windsor’s Morris dance team attended the Morris get-together at Marlboro College near Brattleboro in Vermont.
The Marlboro Morris Ale event sees a host of US teams tour local towns and beauty spots with teams from England invited along to join in the fun.
Alongside their fellow visitors from Berkshire Bedlam in Wokingham, Windsor Morris toured with teams from New Hampshire and Washington DC, before performing with all of the other guests in front of audiences in Brattleboro and Newfane.
This was Windsor Morris’ sixth visit to the annual event.
The side will be going out on another tour of Windsor on Saturday, September 14.
Each autumn, the side also runs free evening taster sessions and this year they will be taking place on Wednesday, September 18, Wednesday, September 25 and Wednesday, October 2.
