Andy Lapthorne is making good progress at the Australian Open in both the quad doubles and singles competitions.
The Maidenhead-based player is looking to progress to back-to-back quad doubles finals in Melbourne and that’s still on the cards after he and Heath Davidson (AUS) edged out Donald Ramphadi (RSA) and Jin Woodman (AUS) 2-6, 6-3 (10-8) to reach the semi-finals.
Last week, Lapthorne and Heath also reached the final of the Adelaide International.
Lapthorne is also progressing nicely in the Melbourne Open WT 1000 quads competition, having reached the quarterfinals.
Making a strong start in Melbourne, the British Number 1 defeated Finn Broadbent 5-7, 6-2, 6-4.
