The fire broke out in a block of flats in Clewer New Town
Firefighters in Windsor rescued three people trapped in a flat fire in Clewer New Town yesterday evening (July 16).
The three people received emergency first aid at the scene and were transferred into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) received reports of a fire at around 6.30pm and dispatched crews from Bracknell, Slough and Windsor, alongside police.
Using breathing gear and three hoses, firefighters extinguished the fire and were at the scene for nearly three hours. They later returned to the flats to inspect the property.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said:
"Officers were called by Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service with a fire that broke out at a property on Clewer New Town at around 6.32pm on Tuesday (16/7).
"There is no criminal investigation underway at this time. The fire service are the lead agency for this incident."
