Ascot Racecourse will be hosting its annual team race and concert in August this year.
The Dubai Duty-Free Shergar Cup, a unique fixture in the racing calendar which sees teams of jockeys compete for the trophy, will take place on August 10.
For the first time ever, men and women will be numbered equally across 12 jockeys in the Great Britain & Ireland, Ladies, Europe, and the Rest of the World categories.
Female jockeys will make up both the Ladies' and the Rest of the World teams, as men and women compete on equal terms in the sport.
Three riders will compete for each team in the single-day race, to win the Shergar Cup, a title which the Ladies' team will be defending this year.
The top-scoring jockey will receive the Alistair Haggis Silver Saddle trophy.
The day will also feature a first-ever concert collaboration between Ascot Racecourse and The Cambridge Club festival provider.
Attendees will be entertained into the evening with fairground rides, activities, street food, cocktails and music from the 90s and 2000s.
Acts this year include actress and singer Denise Van Outen, pop-rock band Scouting for Girls, and electronic Ministry of Sound Ibiza Anthems with Ellie Sax, plus a surprise headliner to be announced next month.
The day will begin at 11am, with racing at 1pm and the concert continuing until 9pm.
Founded in 1999 and named after the horse Shergar, the legendary winner of several 1981 races, the competition draws more than 20,000 spectators each year.
It is sponsored by Dubai Duty-Free, which has been associated with the Shergar Cup since its inception.
Ascot Racecourse, founded in 1711, hosts 26 race days per year and welcomes more than 600,000 visitors across the events.
Tickets start from £30 with under 18s going free.
