In the Express public notices last week (August 1), there were two road closures announced in Slough. There is also a 'major development' planning application in South Bucks.
Traffic
Slough Borough Council is looking to close Berkshire Avenue, between its junction with Bestobell Road, for roadworks.
This is set to be from a minute past midnight on Monday, September 23 and works are expected to be completed by 11.59pm on Friday, September 27.
Slough council is also looking to close Leigh Road between its junction with Bath Road, Dover Road and Buckingham Avenue.
This will be from one minute past midnight on Monday, September 30 until 11.59pm on Wednesday, October 2, if works are completed when expected.
For queries about these road closures, contact: Service Lead – Planning & Transport, Slough Borough Council, Observatory House, 25 Windsor Road, Slough SL1 2EL.
You can also email street.works@slough.gov.uk or call 01753 475111.
In all cases, there will be signs in place whenever there is a prohibition of driving order in force.
Any local diversions will be signed at the location.
Road closures can be for a maximum of 18 months if works overrun beyond the expected period of time – after that they can only be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
Planning
Over in Taplow, there is a plan to turn 290sqm of disused equestrian stables into two four-bedroom family homes with driveways.
Applicants want to make the change at Red Horse Equestrian Centre in Hunts Lane, which covers fields spanning 16,080sqm of land. Bucks council is classing this as a ‘major development’.
There is a proposal to add two parking spaces, going up from four to six.
See all plans with reference number PL/24/2211/FA in the Chiltern and South Bucks online planning portal at: pa-csb.buckinghamshire.gov.uk
