This week’s public notices feature several road closures around Slough and Windsor.
The Royal Borough has proposed a closure for the first week of 2026.
Any vehicle proceeding along part of Clewer Hill Road, Windsor, from its junction with B3022 St Leonards Road to its junction with Addington Close will be prohibited.
The diversion will be via B3022 St Leonards Road, B3173 Imperial Road, B3024 Clarence Road, B3024 Dedworth Road and Clewer Hill Road.
The purpose is to facilitate water mains reinforcement, and as a result, there is the likelihood of danger to the public.
The proposed closure will be in operation from 12.01am on Monday, January 5 until 11.59pm on Tuesday, February 24.
The council has also issued another series of road closures to enable carriageway resurfacing works.
No vehicles will be allowed to proceed along the following lengths of road:
1) B3024 Oakley Green Road, Oakley Green, from the western boundary of the property known as “Woodlands” westward to the access road for Longfields Farm House.
2) Maidenhead Road, Windsor, from its junction with A308 Maidenhead Road Roundabout to its junction with Vansittart Road.
3) Loring Road, Windsor, for its entire length.
4) A329 London Road, Ascot, from its entrance to Lawsons Yard to its junction with A332 Heatherwood Roundabout.
5) B376 Stanwell Road, Wraysbury, from its junction with Coppermill Road to the Borough boundary.
Access will be maintained for residents and businesses affected by this closure on January 5.
Slough Borough Council has proposed a closure that will prohibit any traffic passing through Meadow Road, Slough, between number 26 and number 36.
This is to facilitate work on or near the road.
The closure will come into operation at 12.01am on Monday, March 2 and all works are expected to be completed by 11.59pm on Friday, March 6.
An alternative route will be available for use with a diversion sign at the location.
Advanced warning notices will be at the locations advising of the dates the works will be carried out.
Access will be maintained for all residents and businesses.
