Parking:
Slough Borough Council has issued notice that resident parking permits are set to be introduced to Elmhurst Road in Langley, as well as new parking restrictions in High Street.
Free short-term parking would also be introduced for High Street for a maximum 30-minute stay, permitted between the hours of 8am and 7pm from Monday to Sunday.
In Elmhurst Road, waiting and loading restrictions would apply at all times, in addition to the need for residents to apply for parking permits.
Addresses eligible for parking permits are numbers 1a to 33, and 35 to 47, on the north side of Elmhurst Road and even numbers from 2a to 48 on the south side.
Changes to parking restrictions are also coming to roads in Ascot, Datchet, Eton Wick, Horton, Sunningdale, Sunninghill and Windsor in the Royal Borough.
The council has issued an order affecting waiting, loading and parking for a string of roads across the borough, which comes into effect on November 17.
The affected areas include:
Road closures:
Part of Hatch Lane, between its junctions with Clewer Hill Road and Firs Avenue, will be closed for water works from the start of November.
The road will be closed to traffic from midnight on Monday, November 3, until midnight on Monday, November 17.
Closure is needed to allow ‘water reinforcement’ works, the council said, which could otherwise pose a danger to the public.
Part of Clewer New Town will also be closed for two days in early November to allow electrical maintenance to be carried out.
The road will be closed from the northern boundary of number 24 Clewer New Town, southwards towards its end.
Closure will be in force during the daytime hours of 9am and 4pm on November 3 and November 4.
