SONNING Common and Peppard A fell to an 8-2 defeat at Kingfisher B in Division 1 of the Reading and District League.

Ed Lush and Ian Cole both had wins over Jordan Huang but found Ewelina Sychta and Pehej Vig too hot to handle.

Danny Dockree’s treble helped Sonning Common and Peppard B to a 7-3 win at Our Lady of Peace C to leave them in the thick of the Division 2 promotion race. Simon Berry won twice but lost a close contest with Binit Bhaskar 11-13, 13-11, 7-11, 13-11, 7-11.
