Slough Town have confirmed that Saturday’s postponed game at Chippenham Town will now take place tomorrow evening (Tuesday) with a 7.45pm kick-off.
The Rebels will be looking to make it four league wins in a row when they travel to the Thornbury Surfacing Stadium this week, after seeing Saturday’s clash postponed due to a frozen pitch.
With temperatures having risen slightly over the past couple of days, there should be no danger of another postponement, and the club hopes as many supporters as possible make the trip as they look to extend their winning run in the National League South.
After bowing out of the FA Cup against Macclesfield on December 7, the Rebels have lost just one of their next five league matches, rising out of the relegation zone. They’ve won their last three games in a row against Maidenhead United, Chesham United and Eastbourne Borough and will go into tomorrow night’s tie with Chippenham as favourites for a fourth straight win with their hosts sitting bottom of the table.
Chippenham have managed just three wins from 25 matches and are starting to look a little cut adrift at the bottom, now eight points from safety.
Slough are four points above the bottom four in 18th place.
Macclesfield, the club that knocked Slough out of the FA Cup in the second round, went on to claim a stunning 2-1 win over FA Cup holders Crystal Palace on Saturday lunchtime, one of the greatest shocks the competition has ever seen.
