Public notices: Eton College applies for alcohol licence at sports hall

In the public notices this week, Eton College has applied for alcohol licence at its sports hall.

There are also some key planning applications in South Bucks.

Licensing applications

Eton College has applied to the Royal Borough for the grant of a premises licence to use Athens Building Swimming Pool and Sports Hall at Eton College for the sale of alcohol on the premises.

The licence would cover every day from noon to midnight.

Also included in the application is live and recorded music, every day at the same times; and late night refreshment, also at the same days and times.

It is also looking to be approved indoors sporting events from 9am to midnight each day.

Any person who wishes to make a representation in relation to this application must give notice in writing to Licensing Section Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, Town Hall, St Ives Road, Maidenhead, SL6 1RF, giving in detail the grounds of objection by March 9, 2023.

Planning

In planning, there is an application for an aquaponic farm in Green Springs on Marsh Lane in Taplow.

Aquaponics combines raising fish in tanks with soilless plant culture. The water from raising fish provides a fertiliser for the plants, while the plants help to purify the water for the fish.

Meanwhile, there are plans in Iver for use of land for horticulture. This application, for land north of Thorney Mill Road, is retrospective, meaning parts of the work has already been done.

Lastly, a farm in Wexham is looking to dismantle and restore/reinstate agricultural buildings that are in an ‘extremely poor and dangerous condition’ at Rowley Farm, Black Park Road.
